Although the government has not made MSME registration of LLP mandatory, it is advantageous to have one's business registered under it because it provides numerous benefits in terms of taxation, business setup, credit facilities, and financing.

Almost any developing country's production and manufacturing sectors rely on the Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSME) to keep the wheels turning. As far as India is concerned, these Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSME) have made significant contributions to national outputs (up to 45 percent), both in the manufacturing and service sectors, employment (about 35 million people), and export revenues (over 30 percent).

As a result, our fully-fledged and well-resourced law firm also provides a comprehensive range of legal and supportive services to enterprises throughout the country, most notably the expert and affordable service for MSME registration / Udyam registration in India, to engage in a secure and profitable economic field.

Eligibility Criteria for MSME Registration of LLP in India

MSME registration in India for any company can be easily processed if you seek a professional’s help. The following two main categories are used to classify Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME). Manufacturing and service-providing businesses are two types of businesses. In India, the conditions for MSME registration were previously classified as follows, based on investment thresholds:

  • Micro Enterprises: In the manufacturing sector, a Micro-enterprise must invest less than Rs. 25 lakh (2.5 million) in the necessary equipment and machinery; in the services sector, the investment limit for a Micro-enterprise must be less than Rs. 10 lakh (one million), excluding land and buildings.
  • Small Manufacturing Businesses: The investment limit in plant and machinery for a small manufacturing business is more than Rs. 25 lakhs and less than Rs. 5 crores, excluding land and buildings. These restrictions are higher than Rs. 10 lakh and less than Rs. 2 crores for a small services enterprise.
  • Medium Manufacturing Enterprises: A medium manufacturing enterprise invests more than Rs. 5 crores but less than Rs. 10 crores in its operations. On the other hand, these restrictions extend from more than Rs. 2 crores to less than Rs. 5 crores for a medium services enterprise.

With effect from the first day of July 2020, the revised definition has reclassified the eligibility conditions for MSME certification into two categories: investment and annual turnover. The revised definition is as follows:

A company with an investment of up to Rs 10 crore and a turnover of up to Rs 50 crores will be categorized as "Small," and a company with an investment of up to Rs 50 crores and a turnover of less than Rs 250 crores will be ranked as "Medium."

The registration and growth of all three types of firms in the manufacturing and service sectors are the responsibility of our prestigious and inventive legal firm, which has offices throughout the country.

Let’s see what the benefits are of getting your LLP registered in India under MSME

  • Subsidised Interest Rates on Loans: The government fosters credit support for micro, small, and medium-sized firms by implementing clearly defined rules. Because of the lower interest rates offered to MSME registrants, the registered company would be able to get its loans approved at a lower interest rate and with greater ease due to the lower interest rates allowed.
  • Credit Guarantee Scheme: Another name for this program is the Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme for Micro and Small Enterprises (also known as the CGF) (CGTMSE). In general, it is more favorable to small-scale enterprises that provide financial and earnings input to struggling businesses from various sources.
  • Protection Against Buyers’ Delay in Making Payments: Customers who are late in making payments to MSME-registered businesses are protected. Once the goods or services have been purchased, the purchaser is accountable for making timely payments.
  • You, Will, Receive a 50 percent Reduction on Your TM Application Fee: According to the Bureau of the Census, when it comes to trademark applications, the government fees for entities such as corporations, partnerships, and limited liability partnerships are higher than the rates for individuals and sole proprietorship. A 50 percent reduction on government fees is available to these enterprises in exchange for producing an MSME registration certificate. Additionally, a rebate is required for the filing of a patent application.
