Benefits of Esi PF Registration

1. Medical Benefit

Full medical care is provided to all the persons registered under ESI along with the family members. There is no limit on expenditure on the treatment of an insured person or his family members. Medical care is also provided to retired and permanently disabled insured persons and their spouses on payment of a token annual premium of Rs.120/-.

2. Sickness Benefit

Sickness benefit is provided at the rate of 70% (in form of salary) and in case of any certified illness it lasts for a maximum of 91 days in any year.

3. Maternity Benefit

Maternity benefit is provided for three months and it can be extended to one month more at the rate of full wage subject to contribution of 70 days in the preceding year.

4. Disablement Benefit

From the day of entering insurable employment, 90% of wage is payable as long as the temporary disability continues. In case of permanent disability, benefit is payable at the rate of 90% of wages in the form of monthly payment.

5. Dependant Benefit

In case death occurs due to employment injury or occupational hazards, it is paid at the rate of 90% of wages in the form of monthly payment to the dependant of the deceased person.
