About this service

Futures and options, intraday trades and capital gains are taxed under different heads, and getting that classification wrong is what triggers notices.

Under the Income-tax Act, 1961, profit or loss from futures and options is generally treated as non-speculative business income, intraday equity trading as speculative business income, and delivery-based share sales as capital gains. Each head carries its own rules on set-off, carry-forward and the expenses you are allowed to claim.

This package is for cases where no tax audit applies. Whether an audit is required depends on your turnover, your declared profit as a percentage of that turnover, and whether you opted for presumptive taxation in earlier years. We check this first and tell you plainly if your case needs an audit instead.

Our in-house team reads your broker tax P&L rather than copying a single figure off it, reconciles it against Form 26AS, AIS and TIS, computes trading turnover on an accepted basis, carries forward earlier losses where your past returns allow it, and files the return.
