About this service
GSTR-9 summarises a year you have already filed. GSTR-9C explains why your books and your returns do not agree.
GSTR-9 is the annual return for a registered person, consolidating the outward supplies, input tax credit and tax paid already reported through GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B for the financial year. GSTR-9C is a reconciliation statement, filed by taxpayers above the turnover limit notified by the government, tying the audited accounts to that annual return.
The work is in the reconciliation, not the form. Credit claimed and later reversed, invoices booked in one year but reported in the next, debit and credit notes, reverse charge liability, and turnover that differs between the profit and loss account and the returns all have to be traced and explained.
Our in-house team pulls your GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B data for the whole year, matches it against your books, lists every difference with a reason, and tells you where tax is still payable before anything is filed. You approve the reconciliation first, because the annual return cannot be revised.
