Documents Required

The following documents should be enclosed with the application form to obtain Fire NOC for Fire License.

  • Two sets of fire plans, elevation plan, and section plan of the building
  • Photocopy of ownership title (Lease/Conveyance/Sale Deed or Khasra, etc)
  • Approved layout plan and order copy for each floor by the competent authority

Government Fees

The fee required for this license is not fixed. It differs based on the industrial unit established. The charges vary from Rs.2000 to Rs.10000 for each unit.

Processing Time

Timeline to issue the approval of Temporary or Provisional NOC for the building is 60 days from the submission of application with required documents. The processing time for the renewal of NOC is 30 days.

Application procedure

1. Offline procedure

The applicant seeking a fire NOC should submit the application form along with the required documents to the Fire services Department.

2. Online procedure: ( These are the steps that we will follow on your behalf)

Step 1: Application is made to e-Nagar Palika. Under the Citizen Services tab on the Home page, click Fire Services, then ‘Online Form-Fire NOC’.

Step 2: The online application form for the Provisional Fire NOC appears. Enter the required details that include the following.

  • General details
  • Applicant Address Details
  • Applicant Property Details
  • Type Of Occupancy
  • Upload documents area (the documents should be in pdf format)
  • Update the Checklist (53 points).

Step 3: Click continue that redirects to the payment gateway. Make necessary payments and submit the online form.
Step 4: On successful submission of the application form, a registration number will be generated by the system. Make a note of it for future use.
Step 5: The technical committee will examine the application and the documents. The designated inspectors will inspect the premises by visiting the site.
Step 6: Based on the report, if the committee approves the request, the provisional NOC is issued on the permission of the Fire Authority (FA).

On rejection of the request, the applicant will be intimated, and the reason for the disapproval will be communicated.

3. Fire NOC:

Step 7: After the construction of the building, install the prescribed fire safety equipment.
Step 8: Visit the official website. Under the Citizen Services tab on the Home page, click Fire Services, and then select ‘Resubmission of Application Form for Fire NOC’.
Step 9: The resubmission application form for Fire NOC appears. Enter the registration number of provisional fire noc. Upload the documents in pdf format and click submit.
Step 10: The inspectors visit the site to inspect whether the fire equipment is installed as per prescribed functionalities and parameters.
Step 11: After review, the inspectors will submit the inspection report.
Step 12: Based on the report, if the committee approves the request, the provisional NOC is issued on the permission of the Fire Authority (FA).

4. Renewal of temporary fire NOC

Step 13: Visit the official website. Under the Citizen Services tab on the Home page, click Fire Services, and then select ‘Temporary/ Renewal Application Form for Fire NOC’.
Step 14: The Temporary/ Renewal Application Form for Fire NOC appears. Enter the required details that include the following.

  • General details
  • Applicant Address Details
  • Applicant Property Details
  • Type Of Occupancy

Upload documents area (the documents should be in pdf format)The documents to be uploaded for the temporary/ renewal application form include the following.

  • Provisional NOC in case of applying for temporary NOC
  • Temporary NOC in case of applying for Renewal of Fire NOC
  • Affidavit in FORM-1.


Step 15: Click Submit.

5. Download certificate

The applicant can download the certificate by entering the application number.

6. Issuing evidence certificate

Evidence certificate is essential when any fire-related accidents occur in the buildings or premises. The request for this certificate can be made through a phone call or portal or in person at the ward office. The fire department will launch an investigation in order to know the cause of fire-related incidents after which the applicant would be intimated through SMS to collect the certificate.
