About this service
Consumer law gives buyers a forum that is faster and cheaper than a civil court, provided the complaint is drafted properly.
A consumer complaint is filed before a District, State or National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. It covers defective goods, deficient services, overcharging, unfair trade practices and misleading advertising, and it can seek repair, replacement, refund, compensation and the costs of the proceeding.
Which commission hears the matter depends on the value of the goods or services paid for and the compensation claimed, and there is a limitation period within which a complaint must be filed after the cause of action arose. Both points are worth checking before you spend time preparing a case.
Our in-house team reviews your invoice, warranty, correspondence and evidence, frames the facts and the deficiency clearly, works out the relief claimed, and drafts the complaint along with the supporting affidavit and list of documents. If your matter does not fit consumer jurisdiction at all, we will tell you at the outset.
